Top secret mate, that's all I'm prepared to divulge haha but remember with the solder method you have to allow for piston sway/slap.

oh shucks, I feel bad now. But no sorry I can't say anything. And yes I know all about fellow scooterists......about a hundred of the mothers passed me staring when I seized on the way back from Wicksteed without stopping to ask if I was ok despite the massive skid mark across the road haha.

Yes I can see were you are coming from and would have to agree with you but the rub is I'm quite prepared to help others with my mechanical knowledge and my limited knowledge of Lambretta mechanics as and were I can.

I'm puzzled why it's a secret as to how you measure the squish :shock:

Seems a bit one way traffic asking for advice but not being prepared to give any....... :roll:

Nothing wrong with the solder method, nor the cut plasticine, nor any other method that works for you. If you end up with the same answer, who cares how you get there... it's not like we're still at school and have to show our workings (lol)!

Just place the solder on crown above were the gudgeon pin locates and you wont get rock.
