Is this right? Strobing

OK I mine is a BGM copy but a mate can lend me another of the earth thing is not the issue

I don't think earthing is the issue (bold statement!). I run mine from a separate battery and it works fine. There is no connection between the battery and the scoot other than the sensor clamp on the HT lead. You need power to the strobe, then it's triggered by the high voltage impulse in the HT lead.

I'd check you're getting a spark (which is needed to trigger the strobe) and that the battery is supplying 12V. If you have both of these then the strobe may be faulty.

Sent it back and got a replacement and is working now :)
