On S1 and S2 you need to remove or bend flat the cups that hold the bottom tank rubbers, it makes a big difference, that's with the bolt in type.
Had a strap in one [oo er matron] returned recently that wouldn't fit a S2 but I fitted it in my S2 frame without too much fuss. From memory I think i had both tank and tool box loose and shuffled the tank in with tool box half in half out. Hardest part is tightening the trunnions on the toolbox with the tank in place. Fitted the tank trunnions at the back of the tank as it was the only place to get decent access.

Yep. I have one fitted in my S1 and it was a bear. I ended up trimming the tank seam rubbers so I could get everything to fit.corrado wrote:On S1 and S2 you need to remove or bend flat the cups that hold the bottom tank rubbers, it makes a big difference, that's with the bolt in type.

These:

I installed it with the toolbox already in place and tightened down and have the trunnions facing the back so I could tighten them down.

I also run a file on the edges of the straps as they are sharp as hell and will cut up your fingers right quick.
