It was one of the original Indian, flat slot head screws.
I don't have an impact driver but am considering getting one.
Don't really fancy hex heads, but always try to use the High Tensile Phillips head screws, less chance of wrecking those...

I dont think its about being superior or not ive always managed to get a slot4ed one out even 2hen half the head snapped off :D if the allen head goes its a real pain to get anything in there if it goes wrong and I know we can all be clumsy at some time or another I just feel a standard slot head is more forgiving
