people asume that if they run it on the reserve setting there getting twice the flow when infact all ther getting is a slightly increased flow through the slightly larger reserve setting ,you dont get both holes worth of fuel through as the bit that turns doesnt have a cut out to allow this unless modified
the prob of running weak is why i have a EGT hopefully this will indicate to some extent if things go wrong fuel wise[/quote]

could you please explain this for me, i run my scoot on reserve setting all the time, out of habit and had heard of people having problems by not going onto resrve quick enough, am i right in thinking that from what your saying the flow of fuel is differnt fromnormalsetting and resrve meaning it owuld effect jetting etc?? sorry if barking up wrong tree but if i dont ask i wont know ;)

if running on the reserve setting.........you would always get the max head height..........................available...........right until you run out of fuel............
head height equals pressure...........

The Pingel filters we sell have a much higher flow rate than the Lambretta fast flow taps. I think this is why they work well and people seem to really like them. They're not cheap.

The usual problems with fuel starvation occur when people throw on those cheap clear plastic filters that do not flow well at all. They are basically suited for a lawnmower and that's all. If you feel you must run one, know it's flow rate.
