Bloody Spring!!!!!

I used a big screwdriver doing the series 2, it scraped the paint on the stand tho was to lazy to take the stand off

Did the same this weekend in Tenby. Leaned scooter up against the wall so the stand was up and used brute force and little screwdriver from tool kit. Scraped some paint off the circular lug the spring attaches to on the stand but it's on.

I too like Byron's idea and am gonna give that a try next time too
