hi is that a newer version of the tie bar on your scootsrs anti dive ?
No, just a little mod coz I thought it looked sexier :D

I'd seen something similar on a couple of forums so I thought I would give it a go.
The rose joints I used are much better quality than the ScootRS ones, but will it make any difference to how well it works, I don't think so  .

Parts used cost about 10 quid:

Thanks very much for that tip mate!
Got the same setup on my GP (not quite completed yet so not tested it out) but the supplied rose joint rig is a bit poxy so I think I'll do the same to mine before it hits the road. Cheers.

Also, completely agree about getting one from Martin at Justlambretta - mine cost less than the price in that link and you get great service and email support from him too.

If you mean this:

It's commonly called a "P clip".

They come in various sizes and you can get them in auto store, electronics stores and hardware stores (usually available in packs of 10, 100, 1000, suggest you go for the pack of 10 :D ). I got mine here in Australia, a bit of a long way for you.

Cheers, John

Did the Bolts holding the original "tie-Bar " have a M8 thread and a larger shoulder (about 12mm, that sits thru the existing brackets ) ?
i have bought the parts you listed , perhaps my anti-dive is an older model.

I'll check and take a pic of the bolt, but looking at the tie bar that came with my ScootRS antidive kit, I would say that they are straight 8mm bolts.
This is the tie bar that came with my kit:

As you can see, it already has cruder rose joints fitted that are about 12mm diameter and takes an 8mm bolt.
I think you are correct, ScootRS have updated (and improved!! :o ) their product.

I would think that you should be able to replace your bolts with suitable 8mm bolts.

I don't think that the earliest scootrs anti dive brackets had any form of rose joint, just a tie bars with a hole at either end.
