Mine has a clubman on it. And it pulls 17x46 on an Li box. It's a fantastic engine.Donnie wrote: I could well be wrong to be fair but have never heard from anyone that chose a clubby on a GT kit.

I think Boxer's has been bored out to a 200 by Scooter Surgery.Donnie wrote:Dave, I would have thought that a clubman would strangle it a bit, after all it's a reed valve motor? (and yes, changing exhaust ALWAYS means redoing / checking jetting).
I definitely don't think that upping the front sprocket will be of benefit, I'd think it's got to be worth coming back down to a 15tooth and seeing how that goes? Failing that, a genuine Taffspeed pipe like Boxer has on his but you'll be lucky to get one of them for less than £300

Muttley, do you have a lack of power on hills or in a headwind?Muttley McLadd wrote:Mine has a clubman on it. And it pulls 17x46 on an Li box. It's a fantastic engine.Donnie wrote: I could well be wrong to be fair but have never heard from anyone that chose a clubby on a GT kit.

Nope. I've got a very long third gear to use for things like that. My third gear is probably the same as a lot of 'tuned' bikes' fourth gears.djh66 wrote: Muttley, do you have a lack of power on hills or in a headwind?
I'm also realistic about what to expect. It's a 16/17hp machine that I rarely rev past where it makes 14hp.

I think the scootrs spanny is a 'replica' of the pm so performance is likely to be similar

If you want an expansion pipe, I would look at an NK/ADspeed rally road, both good touring exhaust pipes. I know my rapido is a bigger CC, but it pulls well into the wind and up hills. Yours always going to loose some spred but it pulls well.
