How easy would it be to get them off again though?

if you read through his article he says he warmed them up on a oil filled radiator and or a fan heater .......or something to that effect
i cheated somewhat....... i pre-heated the oven ,removed all the shelves placed a block of timber in there and placed tyre on the wood , i turned the oven off first

and just let the residual heat warm the tyre , the block of wood was to make sure it never touched any metal surfaces
i have yet tried to get them off ,but think it will only be a reversal of fitting them ..........and presumably if your trying to take them off they are going to be f**ked anyway so just cut them off ............

Just to up date i eventually managed to get one tyre on with alot of effort but i could not get it inflated with my 25 ltr compressor, tried the local garage no luck there.
So i brought it to my local tyre fitters he inflated it in no time and he also got my other tyre on the rim in two minutes and didnt even charge
