Brilliant lloking ike!! was it the one on ebay with a side car attachment still on the central tube?? if you want to sell the side car bracket i'll happily give you v good money for it. nearly bidded on this to buy the bracket and do the scoot rusteration myself if its the same one. (see below)i salvaged a real horror a couple of years ago that was much worse and for relatively small money got it done up as a daily driver. All the bare metal areas will touch up with some colour matched paint then distress witha mixture of 00 grade wire wool and an oily rag. i sold it a bit back and with no 1000 pound paint job i managed to turn in a 1000 ponud profit towards my next project. im happy and missus is moderatly happy. i feel the need for another series one now..

added a few stickers for my ratride look, total restoration cost around £175.00 including paint, tyres, tubes, seals, gaskets, cables and elbow grease!!!

Just an update on progress albeit slow going. Engine was dry siezed solid, so left upright for a week or so soaked in WD40 and with a little heat managed to free off. The rings wre also jammed in piston once again soaked fro a few weeks and managed to pick them out with no damage. Even though I have a spare 200 engine to put in this scoot, still building up original and moth balling.

A few parts that were too far gone have been blasted and ready for me to paint.More to do but just a start.

Scoot is now stripped and the frame itself will be red oxide painted to protect from further deteriation.

I have had some 8019 paint in spray cans done but not happy enough with match, so having some more done but matching the uv faded colour, if that makes sense.
Happy days

Getting there. Fired her up today a little iffy on tick over but will sort. I have put a 200 lump in to see how we go, may tune further but want to use daily for work, so fuel economy is key for now. my other scoots are tooooo thirsty. Hopefully on the road in a few weeks. Pic is through the kitchen window while I grabbed a beer, doesn't look this tidy in the flesh.
