Mmm I have to agree with Diablo and Muppet... Chemically and mechanically there is very little difference in this application.
There are dozens of things that can "kill" a seal before the engine even fires and as many after, so given there is only a £14 to £24 (on Fleabay) price difference go with your conscience or whatever your favourite scooter shop tells you...
