Boyesen reeds

I don't have a standard cage to compare side by side, and it wasn't explained to me (maybe Diablo could answer this), but it's had work all over the inside, blended and smoothed. How, I don't know, suffice to say though, a standard 350 cage can be improved without the cost of a V-Force and it's replacement petals at frequent intervals.

It was a while ago now so I suspect Harry did it. It won't be anything major just flowing the reed cage so it works well with reeds and the manifold.
I've found the normal boysen 2 stage reeds very reliable and much prefer them in rally going TS1s.

Al, it was awhile ago, but I remember you telling me that you bought them as a pair from eBay USA, although not advertised for Lambretta.

the splits bettween each reed petal looks to have been smoothed as this is naturally a unavoidable restriction

don't some remove the unavoidable restriction by cutting it out and fitting boyesen two stage reeds; might destabilise the petals but heard some do this mod,

no because the reed would have nowhere to seal against
