Hi gee need to know needle size, atomiser, pilot and how many turns for the air screw :?: . Whats the perfomance like low to mid range is the first step don't worry about the main jet yet you need to set those first.

Hi shillo, i've had a look and the needle is x7, pilot jet 50, andatomiser appears to read AV268.
I haven't checked the air mix screw yet but i will later & set it to 2.5 turns out, which i believe is supposed to be a good starting point.
Cheers. Gee

AV 268 a bit much i think mate try 266 or 264 could be why its a bit lumpy. x7 or x2 needle should be there or there abouts. Again 2 to 2.5 turns is a good place to start. good luck :bouncing:

sorry to spam but does going from 264 to 266/68 make it richer?

I changed the atomiser today to a av 266, and adjusted the mix screw until it idled then took the scoot for a quick spin. When i got back i checked the plug & it looked a bit light.
I read that the mix screw only has an effect on the idle speed mix & doesn't really effect the mixture when running fast. Is this true?
I'll run the scoot to work tomorrow & take the 268 atomiser with mein case i need to change it.
It ran ok with the 266, but I had just got used to not giving it full throttle and was getting good performance if i eased the power on with the 268. :?

Hi gee what have you got running in the carb at the mo: slide, needle, atomiser, pilot. A quick ride and plug check isn't going to tell you much mate, you need to warm it up with a few miles and do propper plug chops.

Hi shillo
right, av 266 atomiser, 135 main jet, 28mm spaco carb, x7 needle , 50 idle jet.
ran it to work today & it was very good. about 6 miles of quite hard revs. Haven't checked the plug yet.
When you say 'plug chop' do you mean check or change?
