Aussie,
What's your frame no, first 4 digits will do. I'm interested in the frame features on any later Spanish frames, particularly 200s, such as rear frame ignition holes, in frame toolbox or not. Any details would be appreciated.

Hi,
I was wrong about the date of manufacture, it is 1983, made by Lambretta Locomociones SA
frame number is 150SP- 3274**
Frame has no toolbox door, a battery tray where the italian toolbox was, a bracket for the airbox to bolt to, strengthener around engine mount, no holes for a rear grill/badge holder, only 2 holes for the seat catch, no petrol flap, just air hole with no holes to mount a scoop.
As mentioned a steering lock on centre line of fork tube, a bracket spot welded on l/h floor board strut and no holes in the rear frame tube where the italian coil was mounted.

If you are interested I also have a 1967 serveta that is the same as an italian LI 150 except for Li special headset and strengthener on the engine mount, frame number is 150 LI- 0677**
I am getting into the spanish models :D
Hope this helps Dave

Hi Dave,
Proper lynx then with those frame features. Dating the 125 and 150 Lynxes is not easy. I had a chat with Perry Lewis (Totally Scooters) as my 125 was dated as a 1978 when it was clearly much later. Perry gave it as a 1984. It seems that the records available for dating were a bit sketchy but some more docs have come to light, and along with the description of the frame etc, is allowing much better dating.

What you say confirms my thoughts, when it was dated as 1983 i was expectining it to be later. Thats why I'm on the look out for the big ugly headset because thats what i thought should be on it not the sx style that was around in '83.

The SX one may be correct, it certainly is on my, very original, Lynx 125 which is a 1984.The headset and rear light on later Jets,Series 80s and Lynxs were changed depending on the lighting regulations of the country in which they were meant to be sold in. The problem comes with the fact that a lot didn't make it to their intended destination and went to other markets, particularly Spain, without changes being prior to sale.
Welcome to the wonderful world of late Spanish Lambretta production.
