Lambretta restore pistons?

Anything related to Lambrettas... ask tech questions, post helpful info, or just read and learn.

Any one using one of these pistons? I need a 71mm to replace an MB one, as they have none in stock. Any feedback appreciated !

hi russ i had the same prob few months back couldnt get a mb piston so i went for a super monza piston for my rb from cam lam but had to reprofile the head best move ive made on my rb it runs really nice with it

Thanks gaz but i don't think camlam do 71mm ?
Ive ordered one now, we'll see how i get on with it, just thought some one might have one running in there engine.

i think these are the same pistons sold by beedspeed.....now if you look on mb developments facebook page in the galleries they say....
now im not claiming this is the same piston
that they are racetour copies and they dont have an oil hole in the gudgeon pin,also the rings are sub standard....
but im sure an oil hole could be drilled!!!

russ,some one has to be the first so its down to you,this is my local and usally opt for mb pistons there half price so if you find there ok then i'll have some!

Yes saw that a while back with the twisted piston rings and holes.But i dont think it said where they were from :?
I try not to listen to much when one dealer slags of another dealers product :roll: and i wouldnt of expected MrB to say "wow these new pistons are fantastic and at half the price of ours, brilliant." so thats why i asked the question, for real feedback not biased accounts true or not :)
The MB one would of been my first choice as it would have been a straight swap. :(

So has anyone had a bad experience with the Beedspeed ones :?
