Tell him to get a 54mm stroke mazzucchelli, an Aprillia RS125 conrod (110mm) and a crank pin from Charlie Edmunds (The crank pin Charlie has is slightly narrower in the centre.)rocho68 wrote:Hi wayne , my mates starting a similar project to yours but is stuggling to work a crank out ? what cranjk do you recommend and what lenght conrod ?
Tell him to then get the crank split, take out the conrod and machine the new Aprillia 110mm rod to the same width as the original, also put some oil ways in to allow oil to get to the bearings. Get the crank put back together using the new crank pin and the original shims, Oh and pop out the bacolite material used to fill the balance holes too.
Heres a couple of pics of mine
