Leaves on the line is quite serious .....they compact on the track ...become slippy ...and insulate the track circuits which causes the train to dissapear to the signal man

Ive heard on the grapevine that the FOXHAT 260 has been on the dyno and that it
was doing over 100mph in third. I wonder why its taken so long to post the results
on these pages. Could it be a case of " the public are not ready for the mind blowing
results" and we have "lost" them . get them posted.

Who is that directed at.....Arthur from FOXHAT (the engine builder) that brought the scoot along and has a copy of the graph, or the scooter owner that has access to the graph, or me.....the dyno operator?

Not sure what all the '100mph in third', 'public not ready' and 'lost' stuff is all about? I only dynod it last Sat and can only post graphs when i print them at the garage, take them to the office, scan them, upload the jpegs online and then make a post........which i havent had time to do yet.

Anyway.....if you have 'heard on the grapevine' that one of the 260s has been dynoed, then surely you know the results anyway.....so makes your post seem even more pointless.

But as i recall, it pumped out something in the region of 28bhp at the backwheel. When i get chance, i will post the 'all important' graph on behalf of the scooter owner and the engine builder, either of whom could have done the same........

Graph from the 260 that FOXHAT brought in for a power run, we made no jetting alts, or adjustments, it was just a bang it on and see what it does job. Arthur from FOXHAT took the info away to make the changes he wanted. He is also promising to bring a TS1260 for a dyno power run too, if/when that happens, we may post a graph.

Found another sheet/graph showing Torque as well as BHP, just under 19ft-lbs. I think (from memory) that this was running an AF close ratio box, with 21/46 gearing (4.4 ratio). I belive that gives a theoretical top speed of approx 100mph when it hits peak power in 4th gear........but as to whether or not it does that, you'd have to ask the owner.

I don't mind you dynoing for free!!!!!!!! ;)
The Chiselspeed dyno offer to the brothers has been on the table for a long time now.

What have got I might be able to get it in ;)

if you really wanted to dyno a foxhat then slagging them off for a year is hardly a genuine freindly invite is it. sounds more like bitter dealer rivalry which us punters get to hear every time we go to a dealer.

"chiselspeed use wood chissels to do porting which is where they got their name" is one that i get endlessly or "mark broadhurst hasnt ridden a scooter for so long he has forgot what a fast one feels like" or "drunken monkey the one race racer" (none of course I find ammusing or true"

wears thin after about ten years

still i too would like to see a dyno graph of a foxhat 260 motor so if anyone wants to take challenge but does not want to feel intimidated by going to chiselspeed then ill give you fifty quid which should cover the dyno run or at least half if you do any fannying around........but the graph must go up on this thread. you can use any dyno you like as long a a graph is produced showing bhp and torque.

We At Foxhat Thank You For Expressing A 'Healthy' Interest In Our Endevours.
As You Aware, We Have Taken You Up On Your Delightful Offer Of £50 However We Kindly Ask That You Donate Your £50 On Our Behalf To The Help For Heros Charity.

We Would Like To Thank Dan At Scooterotica For His Invaluable Assistance & Time In This Matter. We Have Fufilled Our Side Of The Request i.e BHP & Torque Posted On This Forum.

We Hope To Post Further Dyno Charts From Time To Time, We Are Hoping To Dyno Our TS1 260 & Our RB 270.

As Proud Yorkshiremen We Welcome All Comments Good Or Bad.
