And heres me thinking i may get shot at dawn for the chopper frame yes its a 1958 series 1 framebreather bought from kettering parts fair about 4 years ago for 45 pound nobody wanted it in fact they almost laughed me out of the place with it... whos laughin now a tax excempt chopper home built for about 600 quid . including home built expansion chamber me n brother lamblast made 5 of them ....... pure PIG IRON might get shot now eh

cheers for the comments.. i must admit im very pleased with the bars i was trying to get away from the gear cables draping down like a washing line .like you get when using a bought type gear change. and it worked well.. i was going to do a foot gear change to keep the bars really clean but found due to going over the top of a car as a teenager i dont have enough movement in my left ankle to work it. looking at the photo i need to just tidy the cable from the switch gear up.

are the fork legs clamped in to the bottom yolk or welded ?

i built this chop to be a rally goer so put a lot of thought into riding position and comfort . the forks are clamped in the yolks so the height is adjustable by just slackening the yolks and sliding the fork legs up or down. after getting it on the road i dropped the height about an inch which made the scoot look a lot better and also handle a lot better . with a fixed fork length your stuck with wot you decided on . the seat supports the bottom of my back and i dont have to stretch to reach the bars and it turned out to be a comfortable chopper to ride [so it is possible to have a comfortable chopper you just got to build it right to fit its owner]
