JUST BE VERY CAREFULL IF YOU USE THE ALLEN HEADED ONES AS THERE EASY TO ROUND I HAD TO DRILL 2 THAT SOMEONE HAD MISS FITTED ROUNDING THE HEX SLOT IVE NEVER HAD A PROB WITH THE SLOT TYPE ,ALSO DONT GO DAFT WITH THE RETAINING COMPOUND IF YOU USE IT MEDIUM STRENGH ONLY NOT 638

cheers shocky you put me off the allen head ones now.

there prob ok if you have good allen keysits just i know i can get a slot headed one out even if the slot is shot a small impact drivers works for me i tried it on the allen headed screws but to no avail
the knackerd allen headed ones all i did was sharpen a drill to the same profile as the countersink and take the heads of lift the plate and the thread that was left came out with small pliers , luckily they had not bottomed out

I must admit I had trouble getting an allen headed one out, what I did was to dremel a slot in to undo it with a screw driver, I always use the standard slot type now.

Also make sure you use a steel plate not an alloy one
