Remember one thing when your doing this.....
The stresses you'll put the frame under will be massive so get it braced & weldeded up properly by someonew ho knows what they are doing as i spend loads trying to build one myself and only made a death trap so i eventually bit the bullet and got Frank to build one.

I can't see why you'd bother with all the hassle, cost ,ect to build anything less than 250cc as even then you still want it to go faster........ :baddevil:

There was an LD at isle of wight this year that had an rd350 engine in it, which looked crackin......

Yes very nice that , is it yours?
the problem (imo) with most of these conversions is they sit to high (that one looks about right except for the exhaust) and the engines hang down to low. So the challenge for me, and the other "criteria" is that it looks standardish at first glance. Which if i cant achieve this then id put a regular lammy engine in :)

Please see below exmples of elec start engines ,RS 155 is a belter 37hp and beacause of small wheels and gearing changes its dead torquey. 300 KTM 45 hp very torquey plenty of power . word of warning regarding LD FRAMES DONT JUST USE THE TOP PIECE AS THE TOP OF THE FRAME AS SHOWN IN S3 PICS . we have done quite a few conversions using LDS and the metal is a lot thinner when you remove the lambretta spine it will bend if not supported with a tube structure. this is why we always use a fibreglass one on all our LD conversions.have a look on www.lambrettainnovation.co.uk theres loads to get an idea from, not seen the CRX for a bit .
