have been in this situation myself ...scoot would run fine ...untill you gave it full bore ....the tap cannot keep up with the demand for fule from the motor so would just die ...if i shut off it would then take a good few seconds to refill bowl before comming to life again
Taking all sugestions on board thanks.
I have had the fuel tap apart and all appears ok, checked fuel running freely into container, this is the original tap and has worked ok in the past. I have also checked the fuel cap breather holes again clear.
The feedback I get when riding at full throttle is that the engine just shuts down without any cough or splutter as if you had hit the cut out button. Up until last week the engine had run with no problems encountered, appears to be something breaking down?
happened to me yesterday on the way home from work. on 4th gear and engine just died had to coast to the side of the road. was riding fine until that happened. i'm breaking in the motor as i've had the cylinder re-bored. similar symptoms as what jazmanuk has encountered. my fuel cap does not have a hole so i've drilled a 2mm hole. i rode the gp again at night to test it out and seemed ok. i'll test ride again tomorrow and see what happens.
SIL GP200 92'
I've lost count how much I've spent.

check that the slide on the carb is going right down to the bottom, & not leaving a small gap.
