I'd go for Readspeeds 6 plate clutch, they fit and work very well and are not silly money. Pete
Readspeed everytime
Just in the interest of free market economics... may I suggest you give AF a call. They have both an extended clutch spider and a deep sprocket - as used by this forums very own Mr Green on his race scoot. I would suspect its a "below the counter" product but worth a call?

Thanks for the replies. Appreciate it.
I'm completely deflated at trying to get the cam lam 6 plate clutch to work on my 250.
I want a clutch that works. So now I'm having to beg/borrow/scrape together a small fortune for another clutch that may also not work because of something I've done wrong!!!

I know you haven't had much luck here trying to sort out your clutch...
But have you called camlam to talk through your problems?
They might have encountered it before and know how to sort it?
They're always helpfully when I've contacted them

At the risk of appearing stupid, aren't all the clutches (apart from the casette types) pretty much of a muchness?

Dryballs: Cam Lam have always been helpfull to me. This time I didn't call as I've been through eveything that can be done.
I had pm's sent to me. Especially Diablo who, has been incredibly helpful with so much info. But I'll ring them this morning.
I'm most definately not complaining about the kit.
Muttley: Your not sounding stupid.
I'm just so bloody baffled I've had the clutch on and off dozens of times. I've read the Clutch article in scootering issue 258. Sticky's manual.
I do wonder if I get another clutch, the same thing will happen.
I don't know what I'm going to do.

Bob give me a ring sometime. I can't help but feel theres a much cheaper solution to your problem.
