Are you only considering those two kits?

What do you want it to do?

Personaly I like the new imola better than the RB20. The dynos done here show it making more or less the same power but more torque. Better choice of exhaust.
The TS1 is still the best made and most versatile kit on the market in my opinion though

yes just those 2 kits
the sx 150 ive just bought came with the original engine but also a new sil 200 engine
had a ts1 before liked it,but i just thought to try and keep the originality and put an rb into the original engine
ive got one of the new mugello 198 kits(small block) v4 5 ports sat here with a 60 crank to make a 205 but i dont think its going to be quick enough for what im after
i want to rag it :baddevil:

Depends what you mean by quick.
Quick round the lanes or quick A to B on the motorway?
I'd pick the RB for the former and the Muggy for the lata

Well i gotta say if you want to rag it and your not going to be tinkering with either then the rb staright out of the box with an NK or similar will give you a power band and a big grin factor.

The only scoots that are quicker than my RB tend to be the big TS boys with 240,s and the like, standard TS 200,s, i sh*t em..... ;)

what about standard 225's how does the rb perform against those?

Again on acceleration i beat them, only top end tends to be less but to be honest its not often that you get top end and even when you do you dont tend to stay there to long.... :D What i love about it is the ability to be in 4th on an A-road and be able to open it up and pull away. As with all 2 strokes that have a power band you need to be in the rev range to get it through the gears. If your poodling along in 3rd or 4th and you try and open it up it aint gonna happen.

Iv also got about 5k on mine with no probs.

Chalkie at replay scooters has built a touring RB 250 it pulls an SX200 box through 17/46 sprockets. I played with it for half hour around the northamptonshire lanes and on the A6 and was very very impressed. It's not a simple bolt on kit but was a lot cheaper than my RT 255

Unless you have a ts225 with 60mm crank , jl3, 30mm delly , cruising 30-40mph in top wind it open and off it goes.
Had an RB20 myself and found it great fun but very tiring chasing the revs all day after any amount of miles. :)
