I have just tried to fit a new OMG rear exit fuel tap to my GP and well basically it won't fit.
The shaft that turns on/off the fuel is just too low so the engine mount is in the way.
The old OMG fuel tap fits perfectly, there is plenty of clearance over the engine mount.
I've messured the 2 fuel taps and the new one is about 10mm higher (eg. from the center line of the on/off shaft to the top of the threaded part that butts up to the tank) than the original.
That tank is fitted correctly and no amount of turning/twisting is going to get me 10mm over the mount.
Anyone any ideas, is this just more remade badly fitting crap?

Have you changed the tank?.......Maybe the rear rubbers need a trim......I think i fitted my new larger tank with the tap already on.......

Oh well, now I have my answer. I just got my copy of Stickys new book and its all in there.
The new OMG fast flow taps are deeper than standard ones and the rear exit ones are deeper still.
He recommends extra rubber under the tank to push it higher and/or remove some of the threaded part on the tap, just what I had thought of doing!
