Steering Lock removal

Ok, how exactly do I remove a series1 steering lock? Assume it's like the instructions for a series 3 removal ,but nothing's happening.]

headset top off, I presume you have removed the screw that holds the body in place? if you still have the small disk that covers the piston and spring, this can be teased out and a screwdriver down the hole should push out the lock body. Cam Lam sell the small disk but it works fine without it once the new lock is in place, make sure the piston moves up and down freely as its a bugger when you put your lock on and on unlocking the piston sticks down
