Hi - after a bit of help please! :? just fitted new s3 panel handles to my Li (ones with the nylon loops) and after ive fitted the panel back on the scoot, the handles dont meet/align the W bracket. The brackets new and doesnt look to me to be bent/out of shape.

I fitted the handles with then pointing towards the front of the scooter btw.

is it a case of bending the W spring bracket to align? can anyone explain how the nylon loop is supposed to sit on the bracket please?? any help appreciated.

Do you mean these by any chance?

If so I think you will struggle to get them to fit properly. They just don't seem to sit right. I suspect you need the ones with the nylon rollers.

I've had this system on a scooter and everything aligned fine. So i don't think there is any intrinsic problem with the nylon loops. However i once bought a remade S/S 'w' clip that was chuffin' useless................just a thought.

Be warned!!

I fitted a nice shiney remade W spring and it worked well, until one of the legs snapped when taking a panel off (6 weeks later- Emailed the dealer with no reply believe it or not!!)

Mate did the same thing although his new W spring let go when the bike was being driven- one ruined newly painted panel...................

We've both put the 45 year old Innocenti items back on with no problems
