scootRS vs sterling exhaust

does any one know if the to budget range pipes are the same as i`ve been told that the scootRS pipe is ok for the money.....

I think they are based on the PM exhaust. Scootrs gear is usually better than Sterling stuff. Not many of the reputable dealers stock Sterling gear.

I've sold both at some stage and apart from the name on the endcan they looked identical. Used a scootrs version on my Imola and with 5.4 gearing it was great.

hi scootRS pipe and sterling are very similar, end cans are inter-changable, down pipes differ slightly the sterling pipe being easier to fit due to pipe coming down further so a spanner can easily be used on the awkward side where as the scootRS pipe has a dink in pipe and runs very close to exhaust stud making fitting more difficult. Performance wise very similar on an imola. The reason i have this info is my sterling pipe broke across down pipe had welded then broke at main bracket at which point i purchased scootRS pipe second hand of flea bay, both pipes offer fairly good value for money in budget sector
