Q: Jet200 single throttle side switch

In the States, the later Jet200s had two CEV "space shuttle" headset switches. I have a spare Jet200 headset I picked up from some guy in Spain. It has a clutchside blanking plate and a single throttle-side CEV "space shuttle" headset switch.

The throttle-side switch has 3 controls:
*2-position vertical switch engine stop / run
*2-position horizontal switch turn signals L / R
* button (says start, but is for the horn)



My question is how was the hi-lo headlamp controlled?
My guess was that the 2-position vertical switch engine stop was actually for the hi-lo.

By the ignition switch I reckon.

If the stop switch was meant to operate hi/low beam it would have 3 wires on the back if it is a stop switch then there will probably only be one which would connect to the HT coil with the other side of the switch connected to earth.

Perhaps there used to be a switch on the other side and it went bad, they put a blanking plate on and just wired it up for no high/low operation.

just got a gear side housing , to go on me GP, and that has an sx style switch housing on it, to fit an italian style switch. gonna put it on with a knackerd switch for now(as a blanking plate, non working), and it"ll do if i want to fit pathfinders or summat in the future. gaz powell was round mine t"other day, and we"d both never seen one before (or probly never noticed one before more like)
