Thanks guys!
I am asking about this kit because i have a RB20 in a Lambretta and i want something less "racing" :D
I want something with more fuel economy (because the Lambretta have std fuel tank), if i can, mantain the air box, maybe mantain the original clutch or to put only stronger springs, ... you know.... GOOD AND CHEAP ....... hahaha.
Now i have a 200 engine with new bearings and seals fitted, MecEur 58x107 crank, JL3 Curly and electronic ignition with lightened 2Kg flywheel.
I hate the running in :D , previous i have a Mugello 186 and now a RB20 and i love this type of kit running in.
Is the TS1 the kit that i need? what carb?
Thanks!!!!!!

What do you think about to quit 1mm or 1,5mm on the base of the TS1 to do more tourer the kit?
With a standard TS1 kit there are more modifications to do in the Lambretta? offset frame cones, shorter rear shocker, hole in the panel (for example with a 28-30 PHBH), ...
The std manifold is good enough?
Thanks again!

If you know a good engine builder who can put together a standard TS1, then it should tick all the boxes. They can be very reliable, returning decent fuel economy, but the initial cost is more than a Rapido or similar, and a TS1 will test most standard clutches.

The 130degree transfers sound a little excessive. I spoke about transfers with JB last week and he finds that 130 produces engines that need a lot of revs.

I have been having trouble with the 190 engine in the Abarth, so I spent last weekend taking 1mm off the bottom of the barrel, inserting 1mm of clearance in the head, all in the name of lowering my trannies from 130 to 125degrees. I am hoping that this will cure the problem, which was that the engine was not able to pull 4th gear, whatever the sprockets. It was also a git to carburate.

Perhaps it was my configuration, and I haven't ridden the bike since the re-build, but I will err towards mid 120's for future transfer timings.

Similarish to mine.. I'm running a Rapido 225, Mec crank. I've a tino clutch, and running with a B-Race stealth. Carb is either a PHBH or a PWK (I change, got the PHBH pretty well dialed in. But a slightly rich PWK does run better, just that jets are a pain to get over here.

Pretty torquey motor, I'm pleased with it.

If you get a Rapido, make sure you get the piston clearances checked.. I learnt the hard way.

I am the unique engine builder that i know near to me :)
For this reason I ask this things, because I must do everything and i dont know about to tune cylinders, but if i can do a better kit with simple things and your experience, better :) .

Let me know how do you feel the engine with this modification please.

Rapido 225cc. Carbs are either PHBH 30mm or PWK 28mm (Genuine round mouth, not the OK 30-28 oval).

I only use Silkoline at 4%.

Running in.. took it easy for about 500ks, was running like a dream, then heat seized two up at about 100kmph on the motorway and it was about 35 degrees! . Inspection showed the clearances were way too tight. Barrel was matched to the new piston, seems right as rain now, had a pretty hard run, two up for about 150k's p the motorway and it didn't miss a beat. Drank fuel though, the motivation for a LTH reed kit.
