Ive repaired my old AF stator a few times now and thinking of just using it as a spare and getting a new one.Its a genuine AF electronic kit and will both BGM stators and the SIL fit without rubbing anywhere or any need for modification?
I've still got four of the original AF electronic kits and if the flywheels are used with an SIL or BGM they tend to catch on the pick up when tightened.
Most times I've fitted them I have machined the face of the mag housing where the stator fits. Only machine out to the widest point on the bolt lugs that hold the stator in position and no deeper than needed or the mag housing can split.

It will rub for sure - get the stator plate and compare it to the AF plate. The AF ones are visibly thinner.soosh wrote:I`ll try the Indion one and if it rubs,i`ll send it back. Its that kind of s**t that I cant be arsed with nowadays,i`ll buy a new setup that fits.
Cheers for info though.
You would need to machine out the inside of your mag housing to use a normal stator plate.
I'd get a BGM plate instead of an Indion one too.
