If the Super Monza meets expectations it could be cheap at twice the price!

How many have spent on an engine that promised to be good, and blew it up when ridden to a rally then costing nearly as much to rebuild as the original did ?

The longer this takes to be the finished article then it's most likely the better.

Looking forward to seeing the final full kit, when it's released.

That has to be a titanium pipe, for that price. That's good news if it kicks off other dealers making pipes from titanium. Obviously not good for the dealers who make pipes that fall to bits every year, and need replacing..

Only people that are too lazy to set it up right, surely?

Not Titanium....... but its quite a complex exhaust with LOTS of Charlie time developing it!

It will work very well though!

or unavoidable reasons like knackered base gasket, knackered exhaust gasket, split carb rubber , dodgy fuel, blocked breather ,blocked petrol tap, circlip poping out ,chain guide snapping ................................ cracked pipe ,magnet in flywheel coming loose ,race crank that twists, stone in carb, read petel screw comes loose i gave up letting other build my engines

soulsurfer wrote: The piston is a very good italian made cast one with 2 good rings that can withstand wider exhaust ports than normal rings you have in the TS-1. "

what were his reasons for using a cast piston, possibly for it's better or lower expansion rate & tighter running tolerances ?

Piston ring choice, Is this to be able to span a wider port ? Or is it a lower friction high heat exchange rate to the barrel.

Has he mentioned which type of piston ring he is going to use in the Super Monza?

Most likely choice is a drawn wire ring similar to those fitted to a TS1, but with the addition of a high quality surface coating, maybe somthing like a titanium nitride coating.

will be good to see the finished article when it's reased.
