Just a bit of feedback on these chaps...

Rode up to york and back yesterday with a guy who is running an LTH on his muggello and he is over the moon with it, must admit riding with him you could see and hear the difference even to the other rider on his rapido..it pulled away smoothly and with ease and from a standing start there was no lifting of revs to get it going it was almost bike like when he just wound it on and it responded immediatly..he also commented how the fuel consumption was dramatically reduced..all in all his scoot IHO was now much more rideable and smoother and generally a nicer ride almost bike like..although the only neg he had was that he had lost 7 to 8mph on his top end but had been told extra porting work would improve this..LTH for me then over the winter..

What Mugello was this? 186, 200, 225? 7 to 8 mph off the top end is quite a lot. And if it's going to be ported to regain the 7/8 mph then won't the petrol consumption suffer as a result? I'd be a bit miffed if I'd spent nearly £200 on my engine and lost 7/8 mph. I've had a 225 mugello and in its standard form if you take 7/8 mph off it, it's going to be slower than a standard! A well worked, blue printed 200 cast with an Indian big bore would not be too heavy on the juice and give better performance than that I would think.

Well when I caught him from standing I powered away from him(sean tuned stage 4 iron barrel) and the rapido BTW..
from standing and rideabiltiy it was very good BUT IMO was not set up or tuned correctly for top end which was down to the person that set it up IMO..not telling you who though.. although the person that did it has told him for increased top end performance he can rework it...
BUT it depends what he asked for doesnt it, maybe he wanted better fuel consumption and rideability and not so important for top end speed..Anyway he has now got the number of someone who can set it up and tune it for his new needs...

A guy i know got himself a LTH reed to help with the blow back on his rapido, it helped the blow back but not the performance.
He had it removed on the advice of a shop (not Mb) who said its a modified 50cc moped reed valve.
I have been on at mark broadhurst to produce one for my RT255 and now he has so call Mb they might fit all kits

Been running a Rapido for quite some time now(think it was the 3rd kit sold to the public)and was wondering if there were any advantages to just bolting on without piston mods,obviously no help to top end speed but the Rapido can only rarely get near that because of it's lack of torque.
