petrol ressitant sealant

any body know of or reccomends a sealant for a leaking float bowl,one that ressists petrol

what carb is it on, why not use a new gasket?

its for my 26mm,ive got a new rubber gasket,and tried silicone sealant,but still leaks.its for one of those clear delly float bowls.

i had a clear float bowl on a pwk and it reacted to petrol after a while and distorted and would not seal properly so use a cast one now, i fear you may have the same problem.
