Surely they are not specific and are all standard? Unless you've been sold some uprated ones or something like that?

Are these the GT springs from AF to be used in the Foxhat spider or are we talking TV200?
What size do you have?
I can send you a spreadsheet of clutch spring data if you like, it shows all sorts of measurements taken by me, Adam Winstone and others, just need an email address.

Blimey soulsurfer your on the ball are'nt you.
Yes the GT springs were supplied by AF.
I'm re doing the clutch on my TS1,the plan is Foxhat spider,Winco pressure plate,GT200 springs,5 off surflex B plates(cork),4 off 1.2mm steels and a 2mm top plate, giving about 2-3mm for seperation, when pulled in.
Reason I'm going with the surflex B's is I do'nt like the green plates,I find they slip.
Anyway I've got everything together and dry built the cluch and it still feels heavier than I would like!
I have been running a 4 plate with an AF center spring and much as is does'nt slip it's just far to heavy for my liking.
The GT springs Af supplied have a free length of 28mm and go coil bound at 14.5mm.
The clutch cable is nylon lined, correctly routed, the clutch arm is 90 degrees to the casing on an MB Yam lever conversion.
Perhaps I'm just expecting too much??
Any suggestions??

;-)
They do seem short but I'll check. In the meantime, can you measure the wire thickness and number of coils?

Wire thickness is 2-2.1mm and there are 7 coils per spring.
Is the spring chart you have the one that was compiled on the Lambretta site a while back?
Just been looking at that and no info on the GT springs.

Al, I just measured mine that have been used for a while and whilst shorter now, as you would expect (25.7), I'm quite surprised how much shorter. However the other sizes are the same as yours. When I first fitted mine with six green plates (crap quality IMO), it felt really light compared to my Vespa springs over standard SIL springs (10 springs); however last year it seemed to feel heavier and gave me fatigue and pain in my left hand. I think the Foxhat is the best and lightest standard type clutch but I now have a GT clutch that I will use once I'm up and running again (it was a bad year for scooters  ) but this feels super light on the stand genuine one finger operation but shouldn't require full movement of the lever to operate fully. If it doesn't feel light enough in traffic then it's the auto route for me after that.

Thanks for the help Soulsurfer, much appreciated.
Think I'll build it up and see how I go.
Either way it'll be lighter than the center spring set up I have been using.
