I use a couple babies bottles to store oil in my toolbox, they've been alright for a while but the oil has started to affect the plastic now.
I just wondered if anyone had an alternative to this? I don't always need to carry a litre bottle around with me.
If it aint broke.........tinker with it.....

I use an old 300ml shampoo bottle. The bonus being my scooter emits fumes that vaguely smell of Jojoba and evening primrose

i always use an proper oil bottle - if a litre to big get a 500mml putoline gearbox oil or brake fluid bottle (clean it first)- depending what your riding and what distance it would be good for a couple of fill ups
it will never fail due to the oil like baby bottles, shampoo etc

I use some lukozade alert bottles - they're 250ml so 4 into a litre!

I have an 11l tank and use one bottle per fill! (works out to be about 3% as you're never completely empty!

I've had the same bottles for about 2 years now... and they are easily replaceable!

Other alternatives are tropicana bottles!

I use a 500ml plastic bottle, probably Lucozade sport, saw an ad on telly saying performance is better with Lucozade sport, can't say I've noticed any difference.

I use an old Shell VSX 500mm oil bottle (they are fairly tough bottles) and I top it up with Rock oil...

Have a look around the supermarket. I found some multi-pack drinks, made for kids, have just the right capacity for oil to go into 5L of fuel. I've been using them so long I can't remember what was in the bottles when I bought them, so they must stand up to oil, and I've never had one leak. :)

The dreaded jug? Is this the Vespa measuring jug?

Before the dreaded jug, what were people using?
