GP side panel spring plate

Problem-time to fit the above. However, the frame has had a repair, 'indian style' and the holes for the spring plate are not there so i must drill new ones. Have you got a picture of a plate fitted, or could you measure how far the plate is from the bottom of the frame. thanks

FFS ..Jono I saw this post on LCGB...
its quite sad to see that you had no response on there...
just simply offer up the bracket ,mark the holes and drill....simple....
and just to help,the spring plate fixes directly above the lip..so bottom screw hole should be approx 6 mm above the frame lip..providing the repaired frame lip is in the right place...

Thanks for that, basically a plate has been welded ( well, braised ) in place of the bottom half of where the reg plate goes, in between the lower holes for the reg plate (if your still with me!) I'll offer up the spring plate and have a look, didn't want to put it too high and have the panels do the 'skimming down the road' thing
. I'm not Jono BTW, just seen that post, coincidence.

Then perhaps someone would be kind enough to reply to jonos post on the LCGB ,maybe put a link to this topic for him as i feel a bit sorry for the chap...hes had 95 views on there over 4 days but not a single reply..
