Gt kit gearing

evening all. looking for a gearing advice for a series 1, gt 186. 60mm crank, 25mm dell. 42mm clubman & 13.5 stone rider?
does 16/46 sound about right?

16/46 sounds fine to me Simon

rob miller is running an exact same set up on his series 2, but 17x46 on an italian LI 150 box. he tried 16, but went to 17 after his chain streched while he was away somewhere, still pulled it , so he stuck with that set up. supposed to be marvellous on petrol consumption.

Richard Taylor told me the same, that the GT kit can pull 4.60 gearing (LI150 17/46) no problem. And he should know

thanks for the reply's. we have put 16/46 as we had the sprockets handy. may change it to 17 later.
