i want to connect a cable choke to my mikuni tm24.....

the small nipple attaches to the lever end

i cant connect the large nipple to the choke plunger because the threaded top and adjuster and spring wont go over the large nipple.

any ideas how to get around this?

cheers

The large nipple attaches to the lever, youve got it the wrong way round.

.... and if it still doesn't fit Mick, I can make you one that fits properly, with the ratio between inner and outer cable correctly sorted, and the right length for the carb on either the TS1 side of the engine, or the traditional side.

Grey or black, £5 posted.

theres absolutely no way the large nipple will fit in the lever end - i had to file down the small nipple to get it in the lever.
if i drill out the lever aperture to fit the large nipple there wont be hardly any material if at all left to hold it.

something seems amiss somewhere?

many thanks for your help martin - i would like to take you up on your offer of the cable - its for a mikuni tm24 (very small amount of cable at carb end) running normal piston port side (in black) - let me know your paypal address again, its a long time since i bought your rear brake cables
cheers

You need to cut off the nipple from the carb end ( shorten it if it needs it ) then get some brass pipe of the right diameter from a model shop, cut a small bit off and solder it on.
