Hi Adam, I saw one of these pipes fitted to the display TS engine in the shop...was that the tourer? Had a good look at it while queueing!

Just out of curiosity what jets and needle are you running in the OKO, as I have a similar set up.

Not sure off hand, I'll find out for ya though. 145 Main I know that, was it a 50 pilot as for needle not sure there mental!! We had to mod the slide to make it run right with the fat mamba so what I'm using might not be true to yours. Mines back in Monday to complete the comparison so I'll get some info.......

Will do pal, I think the straight version got tested on a biggish muggello with good results. I know the Race pipe did but thats a totally different bag.

Were the comparison runs done with the same carb jetting or did you jet to get the same air fuel ratios first?
All these comparisons are done on a TS with reserved port times, however the pipe isactually designed to work with higher values. So I'd be confident it would work ok on most engines. One test we are planning is to pop it on the Gp4 bike, kinda the opposite end of the scale just for look see. :) .

Each pipe wasn't dialled in like it would be if it was going out on the road, just not enough time. As said earlier we modded the slide slightly for the original Mamba, you couldn't go to these lengths on each pipe, although A/F ratio is checked in every case.

Thanks for that, the pipes have a good ground clearance too when fitted..........Can't take any credit for the construction of them though, wish I could. ;) :D

Dev-Tour now with me so final comparison on Monday hopefully -ADS3, JL3, fat Mamba, MB Devtour, Taffy Mk4. I'm really interested to see it compared to the Taffy, as it has somewhat of a rep for being the touring pipe, I had one for a few years it was mint!

What about RB versions?
Going to be Street class racing an RB20 at some stage this season, I've got a Franspeed race for it but not sure about ground clearance, I'm told it's much better than the JL4.
Don't mind testing one for you. ;)

I'm forever grounding my TS1 with JL4, standard shock on a Special. Surprised it hasn't worn through. Never had a problem with RB225, Franspeed race, on a GP with an R1 shock.
