more torque is reached with a good pipe, isn´t it ?? many scooterist here in germany are trying
to build there pipe themself. in the germanscooterforum there are many posts from different
people who build and ride the pipes but also alot of them only make dyno runs. also many
riders goes on runs with there " new ones " but most of them have to travel less than 100 km.

One of the most important factor in two-stroke tuning is the exhaust system.

I acheive decent torque with a moderate sized performance carb, good flow tuning on the barrel ports, mid range expansion pipe and solid spark. theirs alot more involved but it's a good place to start. for me scooter tuning is about getting from 0 to 75 mph as fast as possible and with out exploding the motor.
any faster and i drive a car.

I think this is a good point how fast can we get to 80mph change gearing helps also pipe.
