Has Lambretta tuning really moved on over the past 20 years?

more torque is reached with a good pipe, isn´t it ?? many scooterist here in germany are trying

to build there pipe themself. in the germanscooterforum there are many posts from different

people who build and ride the pipes but also alot of them only make dyno runs. also many

riders goes on runs with there " new ones " but most of them have to travel less than 100 km.

How good must the pipe work on that 250 it it can pull SX200 20-46.

One of the most important factor in two-stroke tuning is the exhaust system.

I acheive decent torque with a moderate sized performance carb, good flow tuning on the barrel ports, mid range expansion pipe and solid spark. theirs alot more involved but it's a good place to start. for me scooter tuning is about getting from 0 to 75 mph as fast as possible and with out exploding the motor. any faster and i drive a car.

I think this is a good point how fast can we get to 80mph change gearing helps also pipe. When i had my topper pipe on it reved to 9500 running 17 46 ? and would fly but hard to keep in rev band so webster gave me a new micron pod and chalky built me a new pipe changed gearing to 18 47 and it is more forgiving and not so revy. so what i intend to do is have a local set up ie topper pipe runing 16 46 & a rally set up with micron 18 47 or 17 47 i also run pacemaker gear box
