Air filter question?

Has anyone tried a filter like the one in the link? Can anyone think of a reason why it wouldn't work? I am using a Mikuni TM24 and I want to get away from using the bellows / longer UNI filter set up. I have a big tank and a short filter would solve some space problems.

It's a little small for your Mikuni TM 24 which has a bellmouth O.D. of 44 mm.

I,d be carefull useing that, you can go too small, but you cant go too big.
