Long range tanks

Want to get a long range tank so thought I would ask forum members to post pics of there long range tanks, who makes them and how they rate them. Im after one that lets me keep my tool box but feel free to post pics of any sort.

Hopfully this can become a resource if eneough people post pics. It can then be added too as new one come onto the market....

I've had two of them. They both split around the fuel tap threads. If you re-enforce them before use they're pretty good. I've got an SSP and the quality is very good. Then again they're 80 quid more and so they should be.



Whatever you get, wash them out thoroughly before fitting. They're always full of swarf and grit.

Timbo, whats the finish like on them where the seams fit? thought about getting one of corrado but want to get it painted up hence the need for a straight line. Also are there cut outs on both sides or can you specify?

I have one of Corrado's terteen litre tanks. Very happy.

I also have one of Diablos tanks for the 250. Very happy.

....they come painted and the seam looks ok to me but i might not be the right person to ask... ..........cut out on both sides...i'm certain Mr Corrado will be along shortly......

.....the rear entry tap is a must for a good fit....

For standard looks and fit, the twin tank conversions, using the original butty box and original tank are pretty good with 13 litres+ of fuel. the Carb fits in the gap and the battery can be retained (re-welded to the other side of the frame if needed for a TS1 or RB)

Two of mine were from MB, many years ago, one was off Chiselspeeds (Martin). Their worth using if your not after mega miles between fuel stops.
