Thats a nightmare did they compensate him in anyway...or is it just the chance you take..I once had a motorbike frame blasted with recycled shot or something and it ended up a bit battered and i made them have it re welded around the joints and powdercoated in black FOC...

then maybe" vapour blasting "(that is glass beads in water )will restore a more original look if thats what you require...............................
if so ,i would "hand "sand down the surface with say........180 grit papers before..........but
if the casing was deeply pitted and corroded prior to blasting anyway...........this will be hard work.............. ;)

the work was done by an established scooter dealer, only heard one side of the story, so cant comment really

more interested in trying to save the case if i ever find a frame (wasnt interested in the accompanying frame 4 years ago, what an idiot you can be in hindsight  )

if its any consolation...............
i once entrusted a vintage bentley door to a blaster............who promissed to do the job as i requested..............using fine grit/at very low pressure...............
needless to say ,the door came back.........totally f...ed..........
despite my initial requests/requirements/needs............
they had used corse grit at very high pressure...........
the door skin was totally miss shappen/distorted....................beyond repair......in fact.

to cut a long story short.............i had to make and fit a new door skin...................
cost me a loss of approx £1000.00....................
we live and learn my friends................... :D
