Vince, curiously, another BSSO friend asked exactly the same questions you have asked. The answers are:

1- Yes. From cold with the choke on, engine has a beautiful idle.

2- When warm, the choke kills the engine.

3- When I pull the choke slowly back to off mode, the engine has a nice idle. Once it hits off position it just dies.

4- I got the same observation about the pilot jet, so I took the carb off to clean the pilot hole with air, in fact I ran air through the whole body of the carb after another good cleanse. I fitted back again, no joy.

5- Yesterday when I went back to the worko to have another try, I observed the carb when left with the tap on, has fuel loss. I have bought an NOS carb just to test the engine with it, to see if the carburettor itself is really the problem... (I might keep as a spare in any case, cause is good to have for fault diagnosis)

6- Thinking on all the things that I have done out of regular order, I remembered that I used an old 1.2mm head gasket and Im starting to think that might be it. Whats your thought?

7- The indian electronic kit that I have used is an evilbay one, so I have checked the centre of the electronic flywheel and compared to another one and they are exactly placed at the same slots, so that isn't the problem.

I very much appreciate your input. Spent a week with this and is sarting to become stronger than me...

Regards,

Jaime

Hi
Its hard diagnosing over the tinternet but it seems to me that the pilot system is not functioning or the slide is not opening enough to allow fuel and air in whilst trying to tick over, make sure that there is some sort of gap at the bottom of the slide. With the carb of look through the main hole you should be able to see a glimpse of day light under the slide , if you can not and the tick over screw is all the way in you might have to look at the linkages and pivots within the tick over system. If on the other hand you can see light and there is still more tick over adjustment left to make the gap bigger if required , I would be trying at a bigger pilot jet. I know the books say fit this in that that in this but all production engines are different so sometimes there is a need to play to get it right. Where in the country are you located ?

Hello Vince, I am in Barcelona, dead centre of the city.

OK, will do. I will try what you are suggesting, after short inspection I thought the slide was fine, a bit worn but fine. The thing is I've tried a 42 and a 48 pilot and it does the same effect with both. The fact that the scoot goes well with just a hair of the choke open makes me wonder tho... :?
