Anybody using the MB filter that sticks to the inside of the panel allowing the carb to rest on and breath through ?

Yes, that's what I've been using but there is a small space where the filter doesn't seal against the carb mouth (TMX 35 on MB manifold) as the carb sits too far in. The flat ram air filter would probably seal against a Delorto 32 or a Mikuni TM32 or TM34 as they are deeper than the TMX 35.

I have a tmx 35mm with a standard AF reedblock manifold so I might get away with it ?

It might if the AF reedblock position the carb closer to the panel than the MB one. I tried doubling them up but then the carb was so far pressed into the filter that it hardly breathed at all.

I'd be amazed if it let the scoot breathe properly. A mate tried one and the engine would barely even run.

That's about right. I went straight back to just the single filter.

Next I think I'll try the new MB low profile filter if I can't get the CamLam filter to fit.

Cam Lam starts to get expensive if you have to change the reedblock as well. I am suppossed to be sorting an SX that has been in the garage for 6 years so really wnt to stop spending on the TS1 but as you know it's never ending.
