Eden, you don't know me from Adam, but I have in stock everyone of the above Bearings and can match, if not beat all the prices you have quoted from Amazon. All my Bearings are SKF except the Clutch/crownwheel needle which are Torrington. If you require any please let me know.

Not open too big of a can of worms, but which country of origin are the SKF's? I am not seeing any SKF's made in Europe any more. My bearing stockist don't know where their bearings will come from anymore FAG or SKF, it doesn't matter.
A suppose the question is just because they have a brand name on them, are all countries that manufacture for that name held to exactly the same standards?

That's not going anywhere...

Hi the torrington needle bearings are better than SKF a client from me drove the f**kers for 12 years!!!!
Most off the SKF bearings are now from potugal or romennia or low cost production
if you spend so mutch money on an engine then you take the best bearings you get for your money
for me thats: INA: needel bearings ore Torrington
: NSK (japan racing bearings top quality)
oilseals: viton!! ( cost a litlle bit more but the are heat resitant 100% !!!! )
and this is the wright set up
good luck
take care

A friend brought a cheap set of bearings off ebay, marked 'SKF' but also 'made in India' I advised not to use them but he did, got 3/4 of the way home from Mersea and he broke down, electrical probs, on investigation he found the mag side bearing collar had broke in half causing the flywheel to oscilate.
Also looked up Bearingboys and they are a bit cheaper too.
This lot look even cheaper!

Whats the code for a rear hub bearing?
