Have the JB 5 plate set up. They also sell a top hat that goes with it which turns it into a 6 plate. Does anyone have this set up and if so whats the diff between the 5-6 versions. Im thinking of upgrading but want to know the pros and cons. It comes with mb springs and its popeye time when pulling in on a reg basis around town so hoping the 6 is a bit easier... ;)

Any feedback...

I don't know the difference (perhaps thinner smooth plates), but JB will be at Wicksteed tomorrow so you can ask him. The weather looks fine, sunny, if a bit chilly. so wrap-up warm.

Dont think you will need the center spring with JB's 5 plate mate .

From memory i think it came with 4 mb springs and i kept the cenre spring in as well. Presumably this would make it stiff to pull in, would removing the centre spring make it softer and not compromise the effectivness of it?

Think the center spreing is more for the 4 plate set up to give you a little extra , with the 5 plate you dont need it so it wont comprimise the effectivness mate , my jb 5 plates give me a two finger light lever and no slippage yet
What engine do you have it fitted in ??
