hello,
my mag flange does not easily go back into the casing.
i'm thinking of heating up the opening of the casing and lubing the mag flange to see if this will assist?
or perhaps maybe a long bolt/washer which extends into the casing a nut at the very end with a washer and i can tighten the mag flange into place? would this work?
or three m6/m7 bolt long enough to go into the stator holes and tighten into place.
any other advise would be much appreciated.

I found that when mine stuck a bit of wiggling and then pulling it back out would make fresh scratches on the high spots. You can then sand these off and try again. A couple of goes like that and it should become loose and just slide in.

difficult one. If you apply heat and still don't manage to get it home you may cause more damage in trying to remove it again
could be that the flange is out of true or has high spots, or is just a very tight fit.
I would be inclined to wet and dry the flange initially, making sure that the gasket face doesn't get touched, then apply some lubricant.

Why was the Mag flange taken off, have you just done an engine rebuild?
prob of no use to you know but i always trial fit these before rebuilding the engine if tight i just get some wet and dry and polish it all the way round till it fits sometimes you can see the high spots after the first trial fit i file them a bit then wet and dry

another thing to watch out for is bottom of barrel spigot catching on flange....
depending on barrell /kit,and flange used.....
typically the flange orifice on crankcase should be approx 103MM
and the flange 102.9mm....if thats of any help...but they do vary a lot....
