What would cause this? Bad Earth? Wire in wrong place on the bulb holder?

I checked all the earths and they seem fine.

The connection at the ignition switch should short to earth to kill the engine. May be a dodgy switch. Stall the engine and see if she will start with the key in the off position. If she does it would point to a dodgy connection or switch. How's yer back?

Sorted! Double checked the wiring in the headset and the ignition green was in the wrong place.

Thanks for the help.

My back's aching, but hey ho. Thanks for asking anyway. 20 tablets a day, when I jump I rattle. :D You'd think there was more than a ten minute reprieve.

I should have known Andy, but for some reason lately I've been really absent minded and the most obvious of things elude me.
