Does anyone have any specific feedback on the fitment and quality of the non original rear drums on offer, i am currently looking for a replacement and the options seem to be:
1. SIL genuine - Not currently in stock anywhere?
2. FA Auto - The MBD site quotes the quality of these is not ideal and they no longer stock them? (Cost aprx £35)
3. Mecuer - Available but does anyone have one or knows if the quality is ok? (cost aprx £55)
4. AF Rayspeed - Think this is an Indian remanufacture but the report seem to indicate they are a good example (cost aprx £35)
Any feedback would be helpful, ps. This is for a tuned machine so originality is not paramount.

the af one is good as is the sil one. you can pic up sil ones from ebay quite often
i prefer genuine sil ones to the fa italia ones, but never had a problem with my 3
new fa italia ones. when buying fa italia hubs make shure you get the version with screwed in not pressed in studs. change the studs for good quality ones for safety reasons. and in any case DO NOT use any stainless steel studs (>shear forces). the crap is "en vogue" by some dealers unfortunately. theres also a expensive very good reinforced rear hub (original looks) available fram tino sacchi (lambretta.it).

Cambridge Lambretta do a 'SAFE' hub from tino sacchi, which is pressed from the genuine series 2 presses. The series 2 hub is preferred by many as the strongest hub, they ain't got many left and it'll cost you a bit £140+ but if you want quality......

I've used several FA Italia ones with no problems other than the studs. However, at Brid I bought a Uni Auto (I think that's the name) Indian one for £38. Whilst I haven't used it on the road yet, to the eye it is much better made than the FA Italia ones.

I've just fitted one of these from MBD, it's a UNI and the quality appears to be very good.
